Getting married at St Swithun’s

Marriage is a joy, and we will be happy to assist you in every way. The law regarding marriage in parish churches is quite particular and complex and has recently changed. To enquire about getting married at St Swithun’s you need to come in person to the Parish Office on a Saturday morning between 09:30 and 10:30, where one of our trained wedding interviewers will take you through the regulations and advise you whether we can help you with your special day. Please remember to each bring with you one form of photo ID (passport or driving licence is ideal) and a proof of address (e.g. bank statement, council tax bill or utility bill - not mobile phone).

Even if the Church of England cannot marry you, we may still be able to help with a Blessing following Civil Marriage.

TO BOOK A WEDDING at St Swithun’s you need to visit the Parish Office situated in the Hall behind the Church on any Saturday morning between 9.30am and 10.30am where one of our assistants will help you.
