Alleluia Christ Is Risen!
He is Risen Indeed!
Our long isolation is not yet over even after the measures introduced this week. The message is still to stay at home and be safe unless you need to go out for work and can do so with full social distancing in place. For those who are in the 'at risk' category nothing has changed, and you should still be cautious. The virus is still with us albeit decreasing daily in the number of infections.
Remember to exercise daily - even walking around your flat or house - it really does help with mobility generally and with your mental state. It is also good to pick up the telephone and talk to someone, a friend, neighbour, anyone who will answer! Mood swings are normal, the doctors tell us, especially at this time of forced isolation. It is good to tell someone how you are feeling.
Prayer does help. Try repeating the name of "Jesus" slowly and rhythmically with your eyes closed and sitting in a comfortable position. Allow our Lord to enter your thoughts and show you his peace. Try it and see for yourselves.
Please remember that if you need help of any kind, I am here to receive your call.
Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer (Mon-Fri) are said daily by the clergy and are available on Facebook - if you have access to this facility. We are praying for you and for all the people of this parish.
